Open Access Policy

Access Statement

All articles in Materials, Structures and Reliability will be made freely available online immediately upon publication. The launch model follows a transparent open-access approach while avoiding unsupported indexing or impact claims.

Reader Rights

Readers may access, read, download, and share published articles without payment or registration barriers. Reuse must follow the article licence terms, preserve attribution, and cite the version of record.

Author Rights

Authors retain scholarly responsibility for their work and may share the final published version through personal websites, institutional repositories, funder repositories, and academic networks, subject to the licence displayed on the article page.

Licence Route

The planned launch licence is CC BY 4.0 for articles; proprietary datasets may be described under controlled-access terms. The exact licence should appear on every article landing page and PDF, not only on a general policy page.

No Embargo

The journal does not plan to apply an embargo period to research articles, reviews, methods papers, data notes, or technical reports. If a future content type requires a different access condition, that condition must be stated before publication.

Machine Readability

Article pages should include licence metadata, publication date, article type, author information, abstract, references, and persistent links to supplementary material where applicable. This helps repositories and discovery services interpret the record accurately.
